It has been ages since i have updated this blog, i just wonder who would still visit my blog.
As work has caught up with me, there left little time for blogging. Yet, having this little time in Bangkok, i have decided to just drop a few word.

2008 has been history now and 2009 has brought new hope and strength. So what would i like to achieve this year? There are a lot that need to be accomplish but like one of my colleague said, the easiest one would wish for is to be happier than last year. It's very subjective actually but at least there is something to hope and look forward to.

I just wonder what would i be like in 5 years time?

Happy Diwali

Diwali or Deepavali, it seems that it's the same. I have never heard of it till this year. Throughout the years, it has been only Deepavali and this year suddenly the word Diwali is being used. I really do not know why the hype of Diwali is suddenly up, maybe i'm just pure ignorant about this Festival of Light. Anyway, Diwali or Deepavali, it's the same for me, i just gobbled down those nice puree, thosai, curry chicken, mutton and the other nice cakes and stuffs. lol.
I went back to Melaka on Saturday morning. Then brought my car for service, and i freaking waited 2 hours for that. Luckily there is a Hindi movie to keep me company.
After that went back home to put my stuffs and went straight away to Sim's house for Texas Holdem, lol.
At night, off again for some drink and pool with Kiat and gengs.
As for Sunday morning, had breakfast with family then in the afternoon, was invited to Jignesh's house where i get to meet my high school friends, it's really been a long long time since i saw them. All those reminiscence really shows how old i'm now, haha.
For dinner, it was my uncle's treat, had a good meal with my family and grandma.
Of course my night just cannot be wasted so went out with Poh Keong and gengs to Xuan to enjoy some music and drinks. As the night was still young, we went for 12.40 am, Bangkok Dangerous. Reach home at 3am.
The new day begins early, woke up at 8am for breakfast. Then in the afternoon, it was Rajes's house. Meet some good old form 6 mates. Lastly, went to Vigren's house for my second lunch, haha.
Drove back to kl at 4pm, luckily the road was clear as i was dead sleepy, i must have slept for a couple of second at 160kph, rofl.
Reach Rhythm ave. at about 6.30 and after some unpacking, went for a swim.
Finally sleep at 11.00.
What a hectic Divali, but it has never been better.

I'm actually moving to a new house soon, how cool is that? Although it's still a rented house, it's better than my shithole now. It's at Section 19 of USJ, pretty cool new condo. They have swimming pool there, gym, jacuzzi, cafeteria with a wide screen to watch football matches, nice view, and not freaking hot like my room now.
But shifting there means burning a major hole in my pocket which may not heal for at least a couple of months. Means there will be no expensive meals, only selected movies, no shopping, no clubbing and no freaking money for keeps.
So my friends out there, tempt me less pls. lol...
Anyway once i shift in, i will take some pics to be posted here. I will find out whether they allow poolside party as it will be cool to organize one..haha..
It's a dilemma that i have to choose, to live better or keep the money, but what the hell, i have decided. TO LIVE BETTER.

Raya Holidays

So long yet so short, yeah, i'm talking about the raya holidays. 5 full days of enjoyment.
There were open house visit, yam cha, bowling, clubbing, and movies.
Eagle eye wasn't too bad, worth watching.
And for the booze, i have lawrence to thank, great night out, hasn't done this for some time with friends.
As for the bowling, it was lots of fun but left my hand aching till now, darn...

My blog is kinda dead, no internet at home so can only do this in the office while doing my job.
Nothing much interesting happened during this period, but life's been busy. Last Friday went for the movie Ghost House, really nothing scarry about it, i was expecting the standard of Shutter but was disappointed. Did some shopping on Saturday and at night, The Loft for some event. Not the usually clubbing though, just enjoying some music and beer. After that, Steven's corner, my first time there and still i cannot recognize the way there.
Sunday was a relaxing day. Went for gym in the morning, then watch some dramas and did some reading the whole afternoon. Then at night, went for a nice dinner.
That pretty much sums up my weekend.

Graduation

Will be having my graduation ceremony tomorrow. Suddenly feels that this stage of life has ended, although i'm still longing for the glorious old times. Yesterday when i was out yam cha, kiat ask how are we feeling (me and wah ching) about graduation, it's the thing that we hope for from the moment we stepped into form 6. Seriously, i feel nothing. It's like when good things are coming to an end, you feel exactly expressionless. Don't get me wrong, graduation is what i've always looking forward to and i'm excited by the fact that it's going to be tomorrow.
But looking back, have i achieved what i want? Is this the life that i've always wanted to live? Questions after questions boggled my mind, yet i don't have the answers for them.
What i can say is that, i'm comfortable with my life now, but it somehow lacks passion, or something, just don't know what. I guess maybe i'm just too comfortable. If you all think that i'm lack of someone to love, i guess that is not the only thing that i'm missing.

Hennessy Artistry

Last Saturday went to this event called global art of mixing, where they have invited Machi, Pop Shuvit, and Flo rida to launch the latest cocktails of Hennessy. Went with Sim, Kiat, Lawrence and Cheng Yong. The event have really good settings with red carpet welcome, phototaking sort of like those you will see in the Emmys, it was really cool. Free flow of cocktails, beautiful ladies, and loud songs, what else can you asked for, right?
The four mixes are, Miami, Shanghai, Paris and KL. Not bad i have to say if they do it more concentrated, the drinks served were very low in alcohol, lol. Not even enough to get you high, just get your stomach full of water. Anyway, i was not there for the alcohol, more for Flo Rida. The openings were good with Machi and Pop Shuvit, hosted by Belinda and Pamela. Later to introduce Flo Rida, they have VJ Utt and Tanya.
Flo Rida's performance was superb with him coming out with t-shirt and jeans and lots of bling bling. He brought the house down with the song Low, everyone went berserk. haha..
After that, went Murni for Napolean, hotdog cheese wrapped around by chicken chops, nice...
What i can say is Saturday night not wasted. Cheers...

Flo rida is coming to town, this Saturday at Bukit Kiara Equestrian Park. Good thing that i have acquired a pass for this party. So it's gonna be wild this Saturday.
For the past few weekends, i have been keeping myself occupied, like going to aunt's house, go back melaka, yam cha and stuff like that. All these are done because weekends are really precious, for real, no joke.

New Hangout Place

Long gone has midvalley and 1U, too far from my reach. Since i've moved to USJ, naturally my new hangout place will be The Summit USJ.
Went there yesterday just to have a feel of the place. They have Subway, GSC, a bowling centre, Fitness First, and etc. Well, still cannot compare to the two i used to visit but here they have less ppl jamming up the place, the cinema where i can easily get a ticket and the best thing is it's near my house.
Anyhow, i'll be going to Sunway Pyramid by this week to explore some alternatives. haha. Life has been routine, it's time to add some spice to my life.
Look out, my friends, i have settled down, it's time to ask you all out for tea or dinner or supper or movie, as long as i have the time. So be prepared.

A New Stage in Life

Studies had come to an end and a new road has begun to emerge.
I'm now working already. In the education world, i'm the oldest already but in the working market, i'm the youngest.
I'm surrounded by many experienced ppl talking things i don't even know of.
I'm bored by their topic-politics, business, economy, golf, car and the list goes on.
I think i suppose to be like that already but i still miss my uni life.
Though no doubt, i have learned a lot for the past one week. I'm really lucky to be working for a big organisation. I can really see their professionalism. Although i'm in the sales line, i just need to manage key account and find new company if possible.
I have lots of things to learn up and learn up fast. The pressure is there and i have to do it and do it good.
By the way, i'll be in Shah Alam so anyone wants to meet up just holla me.

It has been a long long time since i last updated this blog. I guess i'm too free to blog, lol. Well things get boring when you are too free and life is sort of eventless.
Well from after exams till now, i have a few good activities i have been, such as trip to Bangkok, booze party with friends, and another mahjong-booze gathering, and gathering and gathering.
I really enjoyed all these gatherings as i will be working soon and all these won't come easy after i've worked.
Well, the good new is that i'm employed and will be working soon in Shah Alam.
So that may also end my blogging i guess, not sure, but most probably. Even when i'm free i'm not blogging, think of when i'm busy.
I'm also excited to start working, excited to get my first paycheck, excited to get to know new ppl and many other excitements...
I'm leaving you guys with just these first. I have got another week or so before i start working. May have a few more posts coming up...

Bangkok Fun

9th to 12th of May 2008.
It is a memorable day for me as there are many first times for me.
Shame to say, it's my first time taking a flight.
First time in Bangkok, Thailand.
First trip with my housemates.
First time taking 'tut tut' car.
First time watching 'tiger' show. LOL
First time eating bugs.
And many other first times...

It is very fun to be able to travel with friends, it's not easy to group ppl up when we are all busy working later.

Finally exams are over, feeling much relieved now.
At the same time i'm getting excited about my Bangkok trip this coming friday.
Almost simultaneously comes the heavy hearts and sadness of having to leave Uni and many friends around here.

Handball frenzy

What started out as a nothing-to-take-so-just-take ko-k had actually brought so much fun...
The handball class was on every Friday evening from 5-7pm so basically it had cause me a lot of trouble because Friday is a day which suppose to be a much anticipated day as it is this day that can go out for movie, window shopping, or balik kampung. So i missed a lot of outings with my friends because of this handball class.

The first few weeks were boring as i don't know a heck about this game and to enjoy a game, you have to first love that game, i wasn't in love with it yet for the first few weeks.
Then when i started to pick up the skills and rules of game, it appears to be fun and exciting.

The climax was the UPM game. Although we freaking lost 3 out of the 4 games, all the sunburns and aching of joints, but just that one winning brought so much meaning. At least a lil bit of pride from all the embarrassments.

Last week was the last class and test as well. Anyway, passing was easy and it was like kinda fun fair game, throwing balls to the numbered post.
It was only after the game, and about to go home that i realized i'm gonna miss this game.

Only in ko-k classes will ppl play handball with you. It's not like you can go to any random ppl and say lets play handball. It is not as popular as soccer but it is certainly one hell of a game.
Well if any of my friends reading this and have not taken ko-k, might as well try something new like handball.
I'm pronouncing "I love handball"... LOL

Maiden Voyage

I'm actually going overseas, omg omg... It may not be a BIG deal for you all out there but it is for me. I'm actually going on a plane...

Well, i have say that this is indeed a very happy event for me and i'm really looking forward to it.
I'm have never been on a plane before and this will be my maiden voyage.
Sort of like a graduation trip with my bunch of friends so it will be fun. Right after exams, whoosh to Thailand and get a body massage, can you imagine that? I'm feeling it already, lol..

My destination, Bangkok...
I don't really know what Bangkok has to offer but i got one friend who have been there few times and a Thai speaking friend so there should be no problem choosing the best of the best...
Really can't wait, no no no...
Exams faster over.... I'm so motivated now... Going to study... maybe not...haha

A Home In PJ

This is a story of how i come to find a place in PJ.
When i first entered Uni, it's a transition from the comfort of home to a hell's hole. Not that the hostel was bad but i just can't adapt to a small room with 3 person where you basically eat, sleep and study there. However, it was a place where i met up with some wonderful friends.

After a year in hostel, i was ready to move out. But where? with who?
It was at this time that i made an accidental wonder.
"Hey mel, we have found an apartment in Persona, wanna move in with us?". After seeing the house, i just said yes not knowing exactly who will i be living with.

When our 3rd semester started, we moved in. 8 of us have gathered not knowing each other's attitude or habit. 3 gals and 5 guys.

Our new house was in this way,

Let me recapped our pleasant journey,

Then came our 2008, final sem reunion dinner which was 3 days ago.
Finally all gathered for a sumptuous dinner.

A CNY Diary

This year Chinese New Year (cny) holidays is short as we have a week of holidays before cny and not during cny so it is sad...
I was only back in Melaka on the eve of CNY as i work for a 5 days at KLCC...
This was how i spend my precious 4 days of CNY.

Eve of CNY:
Woke up as early as 6.30am to pack my stuff and rush to Pudu.
Reached pudu around 8.30am and had my breakfast there.
Luckily enough for me, i manage to get on the 9am bus with my 10am ticket.
No jams on the road so reach Melaka at about 12pm.
Once reach home, unpacked and rest for a while then went to Mahkota Parade for last minute shopping.
Got a G2000 shirt for 1st day of CNY.
Had a wonderful reunion dinner with my family.
Later went to my grandma's house.
At about 11pm, went to Cheng Hoon Teng Temple to pray for a good year ahead.
Met up with friends and went to Sunshine Bar for a drink.
After that went to mamak to cool things off and chatted.
Went back home about 2am and slept.

1st Day of CNY:
Woke up at around 10am and dressed up for the best day of the year.
Went to Cheng Hoon Teng Temple again for prayers with my family.
After that, went to grandma's house.
Half an hour later, went to my dad's sis's house.
The next destination was "Lau Ko"'s (Eldest grandaunt on my dad's side) house.
Around 1pm, went to my dad's another sis's house.
All tired and sleepy, went back home to rest.
At night was at my grandma's house playing cards and eating.
Around midnight went to Lawrence's house to gamble and lost. :(

2nd Day of CNY:
Was at my grandma's house from morning till evening. Eating, drinking and gambling all the way. It was awesome. LOL
At night went to Shi Han's open house and met up with some long lost friends.

3rd Day of CNY:
Most fun day.
Went around visiting friend's house.
To name them all were, Louis, Jimie, Fang Qing, Sian Yau, Hock Chai, Ai Huey, Jun Kiong, Sai and Sim's house... We did not manage to cover more cos some were not at home or were busy.

4th Day of CNY:
Gather at grandma's house then went to Machap's old folks home with grandma, uncles, aunts and cousins. Very meaningful indeed, should do it often.
After that came back PJ with Siong Kiat.
Went for One Missed Call with kiat and wah ching at night.

Basically, after this i'll go back to routine studying and there is no more time to enjoy much already.
Time to catch up with my studies and have the last and greatest sem in uni...

I woke up on the wrong side of bed today...

My day started well but somehow it doesn't end that well...

This morning, or should i say wednesday morning, i was all pumped up to go for shopping as i have yet to get enough clothes for cny...

Ride my bike to 1U and bought what i intended to buy with bargain... it was happy...

But then, when i decided to go home, it was after a few metres that i noticed that i had a flat tyre..
It was terrible not knowing what to do and who to call for help... Don't even know where's the nearest repair shop...

I tried asking around whether anyone would by any chance know the nearest shop to get my tyre done. Luckily enough for me, the security guard there told me that they have a friend doing this near Jusco basement..

Waited for nearly 2 hours...
Got my tube changed but Rm20 gone with it...

What a day!!!

A Cendol's Tale

If you are a Malaccan, you probably have tried or heard of the cendol opposite Victoria's Fountain.
It used to be a stall of mangosteen (manggis as they call it in malay) shape. The cendol there was delicious and a tourist attraction to cool off after a walk in this hot historical city of Malacca.

It has been ages since i've taste this cendol, so on the way to meet my friends at the chicken rice balls shop, i just stopped by and have a bowl of cendol.

A total make-over of the stall but i still like the older one better.

We departed from sentral. The ticket is quite cheap plus genting cable car also.

It has been a long long time since i have updated my blog. This is all because of the amount of workload even during holidays. I have been working a lot if not hard this past one month. I'm physically and mentally tired. But after 4 days of resting at home, it seems like i have rejuvenated and moreover, 2007 has come to an end and 2008 is a new year with new hope and excitement.
How should i sum up 2007?
I have been through a lot, seen through a lot and experienced a lot...
It has been a great year and of course there are ups and downs.
To say it all, i'm have grown up.
It is lame to say that, but i have really seen things that made me grown.
I have understood things and thought a lot.

2008
New Year, new resolution, new hope and new thinking...
This will be a year of change not that i'm being a fortune teller but this year will be a transition.
A transition like never before.
For good or worst comes down to this year.
Whether i will grad and get a good job will be the main agenda this year.
I certainly hope i will but things are unpredictable, i can only work hard and hope.

Love it or hate it, it still sells well.. It has been a very challenging task promoting it..

And this range has all that is needed, the perfume, deodorant, aftershave, hair and body wash.

Oh ya, almost forgotten to tell about the ingredients, it has nutmeg, mandarin, amberwood and rosemary... Very strong at first but later it has a more soothing smell.. Suitable for working personnel...

Holiday work

Exams were over but there will be no holiday for me as i'm working as a promoter for perfumes.. Can't imagine someone like me landed up in this job... Typically, a perfume promoter should be a good looking person that can attract ppl to talk to but i guess i'm an exception..LOL

Have to say that this past one week working has been tiring.. Having to stand for 12 hours a day is really not an easy job... My feet are killing me...
Anyhow, it is really fun having this experience though.. Meeting all sorts of ppl and seeing all sort of funny behaviour... i will post on perfume-phobia or should i say perfume-promoter-phobia later...haha...

Clash of Times: Federer vs Sampras

It was a great anticipation for the match between Federer and Sampras... You don't often get superstars of tennis coming to Malaysia... It's a great honour to be there...
Two best tennis players of past and future there competing is like nothing you can see often although it's just a friendly match...

My first live tennis match or rather my first time watching any game in a stadium...
I once watch football match when i was very very young with my father in Stadium Kubu but i guess that doesn't count...LOL

14-time Grand Slam winner, legend of tennis from United States of America

And the arrival of Roger Federer,

11-time Grand Slam winner and current world no. 1 from Switzeland...

The Stadium was pack to the max and even the Yang Dipertuan Agong was there to watch...

During the match, the atmosphere was fantastic... You can hear, "come on Pete", "We love you, Pete", "You're the best, Pete"... Seems like there were many Sampras fans out there that night or rather they were the noisy ones..haha

Both of the champions put up some really good performance for the crowds although it's just a friendly match...Some good rallies, powerful serves, nice volleys and amusing character too...
They did really entertained the crowd...

Let me introduce to the best burgers in town.. We UM students call it KL gate burger.
The reason for the name is pretty obvious, it is located just outside the KL gate of UM...

Its humble stall, barely big enough but serve some very good burgers...

One may be spoilt for choice when you see the variety... From normal burgers to special one, to special mayonnaise to double special mayonnaise for both chicken and beef...
They have hotdog and banjo too.. Banjo is egg burger if you wonder...

Now for the process of making the burgers,

First, fry the burgers...

Special burger comes with egg...

Add some peppers and soya sauce...

Wrap it up with the egg...

All the spices...

Decorate the breads nicely with cabbages, onions, and chilli sauce. Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise after the meat...

My grandpa ate here, my father and I now eat here.... It has been generation of cravings...
I don't used to eat this 'si ham' thingy cos to me it's kinda look scary... But after having my first bite with the groundnut based sauce, i couldn't help but keep eating...

I have to tell you all, if you are those eeewww-that-doesn't-look-hygienic-type, don't bother stopping by cos the best food ain't that clean...

If you can put aside you ego and status or rank, you may have just taste the best food in town...

This time, want to introduce a good place to eat in UM...
It's called Baguz Bites...
This shop behind the library is a good place to grab a bite in the afternoon in between lunch and dinner...

It's just a small stall hardly visible if you don't pay attention and i think many of the UM students don't know that there exists such shop...

Operated by 2 persons, a lady and her son, it serves variety of hotdogs, burgers, nuggets, fries, nasi lemak, roti john and etc...

Have to say that you have to wait for quite a while for your food to be served, it is run by just 2 persons so what do you expect right?

They have a variety of drinks too... and my personal favourite is

Horlicks... Iced cold horlicks...

And my recommendation for food are burgers and hotdogs... The rest are just so so...
Don't come scolding me if you think that it is not nice cos it's just personal taste.. Yours may be different...

When the burger was served during my last meal there, i just couldn't resist and ate it so i forgot to take pictures of it...LOL

The Stuffs

I have been going to library, tutorial room, study corner, and even at home to study... You know what i always have with me?

The bag, lousy but as long as i can carry my stuffs, then it's good enough...
Followed me long enough, still not willing to discard it...

Next, is notes... Notes, notes and lots of notes...

Then my pencil box,

Lots of stuffs inside also, mechanical pencils, pens, eraser, highlighter and etc to name a few...

Water... Essential to keep me hydrated...

Tissues... I have been having running nose every morning so it's necessary for me to bring along this... Useful in case i need to go for a 'big one' in the toilet...LOL

My Zen Stone... Things will get kind of boring in the afternoon or after lunch when i feel sleepy so need some music to get things going....

and lastly,

Have you ever tried cooking your own bak kut teh?
My housemate and i once tried...
Here's the recipes

Since we do not know how to mix together all the herbs and spices, we bought an instant pack and we choose A1 because it is very much advertised...

The very important ingredient is of course, the meat

Rinse in hot water to wash it first for hygienic purposes...

Then steam the pork...

Add altogether with garlic....

Add salt, black soy sauce for taste...
And the result...

Jeng jeng jeng.... Nice leh...

Add pin mushroom if you like

And eat with hot white rice

There goes my very own bak kut teh... Enjoy...LOL

10 hours around KL

Now is UM students' raya holiday + study week... So the first week is kinda like holiday so we have yet to begin any revision...
It's good time to go for window shopping or a walk around KL...
There's a warehouse sales in here

Yes it's here instead of some empty halls where warehouse sales usually held...
And it's advertisement promises whole range of products from belts to shoes to shirt and jeans, all branded...

What i can say about Pavilion is that the shops here are BIG BIG BIG...

It's really huge and now only half of Pavilion is opened... Imagine when all is done... Gosh

Whatever brand you want, you name it, you get it... Shopping heaven for women and ladies of KL...

We exited here and continue to LOT 10 then went to Sungei Wang for lunch at this shop

Icy Experience

This time, it's my skating experience...
It's embarrassing really to say that it's my first time going skating...
Well, i don't have any beginner's luck either...

Chemistry = Bombs???

You know what ppl ask me when i tell them i'm taking chemistry course?
Do they teach you how to make BOMBS???
LOL, chemistry is not about making bombs, dude...
There is no explosion in the lab and it can be the safest place... just need the necessary precaution...

So to clarify,
Just want to show all of you how's it like in my chemistry lab...

Introducing,

Year Three Inorganic Lab

The solid form chemicals, they are toxic but not really explosive... Most solid form chemicals are less reactive...

These liquid form chemicals are more reactive and dangerous even their fumes are toxic so we do it in a fume cupboard that ventilate out the toxic fumes...

When first enter the lab, everyone will get a cupboard which contains all the necessary apparatus...

And in some case you will get a person to share with...

Everyone is doing their stuff in a relax manner... The guy lying down is not dead, just probably too tired...It's not appropriate in sleep in the lab though...

Golden brown nuggets with a lot of Mallaird reaction

Eggs emulsion a.k.a Maiyonnaise egg bread

including some geli-no-one-want-to-eat-coleslaw

and cindy's everyone-don't-eat-so-full-still-got-my-cake self made cheesecake

Now comes the story,
After some dry spell in Damansara, a swarm of mosquitoes decided to migrate to PJ...
When they reach PJ, they saw a group of ppl in the playground having some sort of gathering..
So they decided to join the fun and have some free meals...
Little did they know that this could be their last meal...

A swarm of 20 mosquitoes flew in... 5 flew right under Cindy and crashed...
15 of them wonder why?
Then 5 flew right under Junne, and crashed also..
10 of them wonder why?

You know what they did wrong that caused their death?
because they look up while flying under them and they use their wings to cover their eyes...LOL

They should have done this,

See no evil...

3 of them met the werewolf, hungry for young girl's blood and while opening his mouth swallowed them...

3 of them met the possessed Junne... look closely behind the white shirt guy

and Junne scared them to death

And the rest 4 of them,

Scarry~ were cut up by Cindy for breakfast...

And they all say that Melvin is to be blamed for the death of the mosquitoes... but i'm innocent

However thanks to these ppl, the mosquitoes population is under control...LOL

All that is just bunch of craps for entertainment purposes

Santuary@ The Curve

Last night, had a great night with my friends.. Our destination is Santuary@The Curve...
No special occasion but just to hang out for once more before our examsss..

To kill some time, took some pictures while waiting for my friends,

At The Curve, they cater for different types of ppl... If you need to turn on your charm, you can go to Charms Cafe...haha... If you want to feel like heaven, go to Heaven Cafe... I have no idea what is Pho Hoa...if someone out there know what it is, tell me...
If you feel like mamak-ing, there is even a teh tarik place... but it's not gonna be cheap...LOL

Have you heard of the Apartment? No not that apartment, it's like a restaurant + cafe and its theme is the apartment... With decors of sofas, some book shelves, tables and chairs, it makes you feel at home, a student house maybe...

They have some very good collections of kicks, caps and t-shirts though...
I have not tried The Apartment, i mean going in for some food and drinks but i certainly will one of these days...

Next, The Santuary..

Just up the stairs beside TGI Fridays on the first floor.

It has a nice settings and good surroundings, at least for those club-going ppl...
There are three different areas, an area outside the bar where there is no loud music, good for those wanting a drink and chat with fellow friends..
An area inside the bar with not so loud music but it's air-conditioned and have a bar stand...
And of course an area with loud music, cool ppl, and whole lot of liquors...

Guess which area i belong??? LOL

They even have an Ice Bar, where the temperature is below -15 degrees

After that, my friend's friend had a car breakdown so he had to fetch his friend home while we wait for him...

Last night on the way to mamak, i saw that OLDTOWN has a new branch in SS14...
Wow, great...
At least have some good coffee to satisfy my tastebud...
I'm not a coffee addict or something like that but good coffee with some great bread certainly work for me...
So today i went there for lunch..
It's the usual settings but it's the kind of environment that i like...

Nice seats for my lazy backbone..haha

Many working ppl there for lunch... Where to find better alternative for kopi-O than here right?
Unless you are willing to spend on Starbucks or Coffee Beans...

My main course...Nissin noodles with egg, chicken ham and vege... Just like the Maggi Mee i cook at home...LOL

Side dish... French toast.. Not bad but somehow i still like the one in SS2, Wong Kok or Mong Kok.. whatever la..

Cold White Coffee Gao Gao... Kinda too bitter for me but still nicer than Kopi Ice at mamak...

Salvation

On Saturday, it has been one of the most meaningful visit... Not just any ordinary visit but a visit to an old folks home..
After buying all that we think is a necessity for them, we set out with 3 cars to this old folks home

It was one of those meaningful deed that we can do for the needy and what was more worthwhile is that we did it with our families.

When i reach there,

The surroundings is quite liveable i should say...

With some good facilities

They even have lanterns for Mooncake festival...

But what i want to say is that, the place lack of one thing... CARE
Though the ppl there live in a considerable neat areas but the place is COLD...
There is no WARM there...
What they need besides a roof over their head is care... If not from their own family, it should come from the society...

I just don't know how to express the feelings, i think you should feel the same if you are there yourself... The mix feeling of both sad for the old ppl there and feeling blessed for having a family that warms your soul...
You should see how their face lit up when they saw group of ppl visiting and talk to them...

It doesn't how much time and money you have spent because it's all worthwhile when you see the smile on their face...

I entered this room, home to two of immobilised occupants there...
It really touched me when i see this scene,

She is mentally incapable, but she kept nodding her head thanking us..

And this picture, i just felt so sad that i felt like crying but i have to take this picture to show it to all of you...

She is bedriddened and blind... i don't know how long she have been there but i was there 2 years ago and she was already there...
I just cannot bear looking any longer... it's really terrible anybody should ever have this fate..
I hope if there is really a great force out there that governs the natural world pls protect this lady...

It is a comforting to see that they have to neat surrounding to stay in...

If music can heal the soul, this uncle certainly knows the remedy...

If anyone of you have any spare clothes or household items that you think you can donate pls do so... Or you can recycle some stuffs

To sum it up, i want to say that, before we look somewhere far like Africa or other third world countries where ppl are suffering and need help, we should look at our own backyard where there are a lot of ppl that need our attention and care...

Apparently, there is a report of Food Chemistry that need to be handed next morning.
So me and my coursemate went to McD because they have a good environment and good food too.

No long lines at night

If you look properly, there are others doing their stuff there also

We have our laptops to do our work too.. Too bad no wireless to online...

Didn't eat, just a cup of hot Milo.

I think McD will be the place for me to study during study break because:

Good lighting with air-con
Readily available good food in case i get hungry studying
The nice smell will keep me awake
McD opens 24 hours
McD even have it's own radio station with good mix of songs

Cons:

The irresistable temptation will make me eat and make me even fatter
It will burn a hole in my pocket

Thus, have to consider properly...LOL

Pesta Tanglung Universiti Malaya

Yesterday, despite the letdown of last year's event. I got myself a RM 8 ticket and watch this Latern Festival of Universiti Malaya...

Look at the freaking crowd...

Even wait in the rain to enter the hall for the event...

Some brief introduction, every year during this fest, UM Chinese Society will organize a drama or a sketch with collaboration of acting and dancing...
So thousands of student will flood our Dewan Tunku Cancellor to watch this act..

Once inside the hall, no nice seats left...

Car Breakdown.. Not mine...

Tonight, it's an unfortunate day for my friend...
Having a car breakdown is already bad luck... but having no one to help her is even worse...
She even left her hp at my house...gosh...

This is her car.. Renault Scenic... As many ppl say, it's a very difficult car to repair and costly too...
After waiting, help finally arrives...

The tow truck.. It is going to cost her also...

It is somewhere near PJ Hilton... at the traffic light... No one came to help, it shows how terrible KL ppl are...LOL... not all of course...

Anyway, a kind soul did stop to offer assistance... Well, i did say not all KL ppl are heartless right...haha...

This not-so-kind-soul can still laugh and post for the camera...Terrible...haha..

Kind reminder, pls equip yourself with contact number of any workshop or tow service that work 24/7 and put a safety triangle sign in your car also, to alert other drivers...

Well, i hope she will be ok and that this won't burn a hole in her purse....

Midvalley Today

This afternoon, my class cancelled so went to Midvalley with my friends...
This is one of my favourite shop but just window shopping,
There are some really cool kicks inside but i can't afford it...haih...

Well, after walking around, went to play pool... Afternoon pool, this is really my first time...
It's really wonderful what students can do, go shopping and play pool in the afternoon.. LOL

Midvalley Garden City is opening soon so another place to hangout...haha...

I bet a year from now, when i'm working already, there won't be such time anymore... so have to enjoy....Peace ;-)

I am planning a trip...local, nothing expensive.. just to chill off before the exams come knocking...
And what's great, Matta fair is here... So, this morning went to Matta fair in PWTC...
Saw this....

It's cheap cheap cheap but it's not an option considering my passport is dead and an added rm300 for a new one..
Going for local promotions... So just walk around and collecting brochures...
So i think it will be Tioman... Think this will be ok considering that i had been to Redang...
After getting most of the information needed, i headed for the OVERSEAS trip promotion...
Just for the fun of it... Then saw this,

Korea... wow... It will be great if i can afford, just to see what kind of ppl there that captivate almost all youngsters nowaday...
But the truth is, it's off my budget... way off...

Graduation Day!!!

Today is the day Mr Chua Hock Kuan graduated. It was my first time after 2 years that i send off a senior... Never before that...
That next convo, it might be my turn... I say 'might' because anything could happened like i cannot get the subject i want or 'touch wood' i fail any of my subjects.
So hopefully nothing bad happened and i can graduate next year..
It's a mix feeling actually, it's all fun being in the university despite the pressure of exams and good results...
I did my internship so i know what's like working...
Anyway what will happen will happen so i will just do my best...
I just hope to extend my congratulation to my senior, Mr Chua... All the best dude...

I have read the other two books which is " The Five People You Meet In Heaven" and "Tuesdays with Morrie"...
"Tuesdays with Morrie" is my favourite yet.. Highly recommended book or should i say a must-read book..

My Merdeka Weekend

This merdeka weekend had been wonderful, back home early friday morning... Then took a nap..
At night went out for Sibaraku with 4 of my friends. Just for your information, Sibaraku is a Japanese Restaurant... The food there are not bad though...
Then Saturday night went for my grandaunt's 70th Birthday dinner... It was great...

It had me feeling warm and the love of the family is overwhelming... Living up to that age is a blessing, but having all the children and grandchildren together and still have a healthy body is fantastic...
I hereby pray that my grandaunt will have both longevity and prosperity...

Then back in pj on sunday evening, and went to Strawberry Restaurant near Menara MPPJ...
Strawberry = Good food + Cheap price + good environment...
It was great to have dinner or even supper there... It opens from 11.30 am to 2.00am on weekdays and till 3.00am on weekends.. Go and try there...

To sum it all, another great weekend indeed...

Conjunctivitis

Since tuesday, i've been suffering from conjunctivitis. It's the worse experience anyone can ever get, eyes red, watery and itchy.. Oh.. and the worse part is not being able to get out and do the usually daily activity... i'm an active person so cannot stay at home too long..Argh...
This is the medicine i have for my eyes,

Have drop this in my eyes every 4 hours and the bitter taste will slowly flow to the throat..Uh..

Then this, take 2 pills a day and that is equals to whole day in dozing condition because it causes drowsiness...terrible...cannot do anything...

And last but not least, this gel like thing that have to be rubbed onto my eyelid before sleep... darn uncomfortable and imagine cannot turn around or will mess up the whole pillow...

2 days off given by the doctor but it's not enough so i took the 3rd day off myself....
And all that cost me RM49...Oh, there goes a hole in my wallet..
Just hope that this thing goes away and NEVER come back...

The Worse Week of My Life yet...

This week has been a terrible week for me... It started by failing to get a ticket back to KL from Melaka. I missed 2 of my classes. Then,on monday when i followed my friend's car back to KL, the car broke down and we have to wait for almost an hour...
The agony continues, i woke up tuesday morning with a red eye. I thought it was nothing serious and will go away with a few drops of EyeMo. It doesn't. In the afternoon, it started to swell and by night, it was all watery.
When i went to the doctor, it was proclaimed Conjuctivitis. Should be nothing serious but i have to skip a few more classes.
I suppose to go for celebration of Julie's B'day and another session of seafood with my coursemates but all that seems impossible now..
Well, as i have always believed, under every dark clouds, there's a silver lining... I won't be a whiner but instead hope that my eye will recover very soon..
I have my fingers crossed.

Melaka Rediscovered

Last weekend, i brought my friends to visit Melaka The Historical City

Never knew that Melaka had this thing until that day

Even i felt like a tourist, so near yet so far.. last visited A'Famosa is like decades ago and i say i'm a Malaccan...wow..

Wow, a funny sequel and a good laugh is just what i needed... It was a very funny movie with that funny man Chris Tucker.. he is really good...

My friend got news of the Grand Opening of Cycom at Berjaya Times Squares. They are selling ipod shuffle 1Gb at an astonishing rm 99...
So, my friend and i got up early Saturday morning and rush to the scene...

Get a quick bite at Sungei Wang's Kim Gary....He is Xi Ming and he is eating spagetti pork chop..

Reach there just to see long queue. Since they are selling only 33pcs per session and there are about 50 ppl there, we just stay to take pictures...LOL

My Wednesday

It's quite a leisure day today.. My lab have not started and have my class till 10am only.. What a pleasant day... When i came back, i packed a delicious rm2.80 rice...haha... then sat in front of my laptop and watch this movie...

It's an old movie though.. but i have not watch and is in a mood for cartoons...so what the hell.. this will give me some good laugh...

Well i really have to say i like this turtle..He is the cutest tortoise i have seen in cartoon animation...He carries values of courageous, sensitive, family-come-first kinda guy and he is kinda of the peace keeper but here comes the trouble-maker

This cheeky little animal, trashed a bear's winter food supply or something like that so he have to get back the food or else he will be in the menu... So in his desperation, he kinda used the tortoise et al (means "and company") to achieve his food collecting goal..

And this little fellow, he is really nuts, literally.... he runs darn fast but is easily distracted and a bit dumb...haha...
In a nutshell, this movie is worth watching.. so those who have not watch it, dig it up and fill your day with laughter...

In the afternoon, went to Midvalley to get my friend something for birthday...

IPod Pollution

Talking about ipod, it's everyone's favourite. It can be found anywhere hanging from neck, in the pocket, around arms, in the hand bag and etc etc..
Today i read something very interesting about ipod, it's causing pollution (you heard me right, pollution). At first when i read this title in The Star newpaper, i thought it's about too many ipod being thrown into the river or something.. silly me..
Well in seem that it's something to do with noise pollution.

Well if you have not seen an ipod, here's some to show...

So what's the hassle? According to them, using ipod in public places especially crowded area blasting unsuitable song like The Chemical Romance seems to be disturbing others and considered rude...huh? how could that be? can someone really listens to songs that loud until the whole lrt or bus passengers get annoyed? it's not the radio that we talk about...
Well, one things is for sure.. cos everyone's taste of music is different we have to be considerate and just listen to our own music and PLEASE PLEASE don't sing along. Not everyone is blessed with good voice so just keep it to yourself.
And don't listen to ipod too loud while in a cramped area with someone close to you but...

if someone this hot come close... just let it be...just enjoy the view and the MUSIC
